Setup and Use of Macintosh
LaserWriter 7.x Driver

If you do not have a LaserWriter driver installed, you must install
it from your System Installation disks.
Step 1
- Go to the CHOOSER and select the LaserWriter driver.
- Background Printing MUST be turned OFF!
- Close the CHOOSER, open your application and continue to the next step.

Step 2
- After selecting the LaserWriter from the CHOOSER, open your application
and select PAGE SETUP in the File pull down menu..
- Set orientation to Portrait or Landscape as appropriate.
- NO boxes should be Xed under Printer Effects:
- Click Options and continue to the next step:

Step 3
- NO boxes should be Xed on the LaserWriter Options screen.
- Click OK and return to your application.

Step 4
Because this dialog box differs from application to application no illustration
is shown.
- Select Page Setup from the File pull down menu (some applications may
use the term Slide Setup).
- Select 35mm for Slides or Overhead (On Screen) for vugraphs.
- If your desired page size is NOT available, select LETTER.
- Draw a centered rectangle to represent your image area, 7.33" x 11"
for 35mm or 7.5" x 10" for vugraphs. Fill this rectangle with
the color you want for your background (even if WHITE).
Step 5
- When you have completed your presentation, select PRINT from
the File pull down menu..
- Select Destination: PostScript® file.
- Select Scale to Fit if that option is available.
- DO NOT select Black & White or Pure Black & White.
- Be sure the proper item is selected in the Print What area.
- Click Options and continue to the next step:

Step 6
- Select Color/Grayscale.
- Click OK and continue to the next step:

Step 7
- Select the folder you want to save your PostScript® file to. You may
run out of disk space on a floppy so save to your hard drive.
- Save Disk File As: FILENAME.PS (the default filename will be postscript)
we ask that you name the file using a ".PS" extension.
- Click SAVE and you are finished.
- We do suggest that you STUFF your file using STUFFIT before sending via MODEM
to save time and more importantly maintain file integrity.
