How To Send Your File


Be certain to include all required files. If you are sending application files such as Quark Express, Freehand, etc., include any fonts or linked images used to create the document. Failing to do so may delay you order. Although we have hundreds of fonts, please check with us before assuming we have the fonts you are using. All your files including application files, fonts, images and folders can be included in one compressed (ZIP or STUFFIT) file.

1- Compress your files:

If you are sending your files electronically, we ask that you compress your files for two reasons. Please DO NOT create SELF EXTRACTING files. We will not attempt to run them under any circumstances.

  1. When we UNZIP or UNSTUFF your file, there is an automatic check that confirms your file was received completely and without error.
  2. It saves transmission time.

If you do not have a copy of the following compression utilities, you may download them by clicking on your choice. If you are using Netscape and you are having difficulty downloading these files, hold down the SHIFT key when selecting the file to download. This will force Netscape to save it to a file rather than showing garbage on your screen.

The latest versions of each utility can be found on TUCOWS under compression utilities.

2- You can send your files three different ways:
DON'T FORGET TO COMPRESS YOUR FILES!

  1. Use your 4.0 or later browser to upload your files at http://www.lightinc.com/PlaceOrder.htm. This process is easy, fast and secure. Please use a unique filename when uploading your files. We suggest using your initials plus the date: HLL6-8-00.sit or HLL6-8-00a.zip if you are uploading multiple files.

  2. Attach small files (not over 1 MB) to a message addressed to support@lightinc.com. REMEMBER TO COMPRESS YOUR FILES.
  3. Bring your files on disk to our office. See Map for directions.

WARNING: The Internet is not 100% secure.

Internet mail can sometimes be delayed for hours. We cannot be responsible for incomplete, damaged or delayed files. When your files are received, we will send you a confirmation email message indicating what was received and when your order will be ready. Until you receive such a message, do NOT assume your files were received. Your files are considered received at the time it is completely uploaded to our site or the time your email is received by our mail server. Please consider possible Internet delays and transmission times when sending your files. 2:00 P.M. is our daily cutoff for next day non-rush 35mm slide imaging services.
